The film is part of a franchise about a former hit man who is hunted by his enemies. In the finale of "John Wick 3", the main character finds refuge with the "Pigeon King", who announces his readiness to start a war against the Clan Rule. Presumably, this war will become the basis of the plot of the fourth film. Chad Stahelski in one of his interviews warned the audience that they should not expect a happy ending from the movie "John Wick 4".
